WACO - The Travis 8th grade boys track & field team opened the 2025 season by participating in the Waco ISD Invitational held at Paul Tyson Field on Wednesday.
The Mustangs took 6th Place in the team standings with 36 points while Midway took 1st Place with 184 points.
Leon Tolbert was a shining star for the Mustangs as he took gold in the long jump , silver in the 400 meters and placed 4th in the 200 meters.
However, Joseph Gonzales also had his golden moment winning the discus event with a throw of 119'8 which far outdistanced second place which was 98'11.
