The Travis 7th grade girls track & field team participated in the Belton Divisional Meet held at Belton High School on Thursday.
With the anticipation of inclement weather, the field events and 2400 meter run were cancelled and were postponed to be completed at the district meet to be held at Midway High School on April 1st.
However, the races on Thursday were a qualifying meet with the Top Four places in each event now advancing to the Centex District Championships next week.
The Lady Mustangs finished in 1st Place in the team standings with a total of 93 points while River Valley took second place with 91.
The Lady Mustangs were led by Kameryn Tate who earned gold medals 100 and 200 meters while Reginae Williams took 2nd in the 200 and 3rd in the 100 meters.
Travis also got 2nd place finishes from the 4x400 relay and Makalynn Taplin in the 300 hurdles.
