The Travis 8th grade girls track & field team participated in the Belton Divisional Meet held at Belton High School on Thursday.
With the anticipation of inclement weather, the field events and 2400 meter run were cancelled and were postponed to be completed at the district meet to be held at Midway High School on April 1st.
However, the races on Thursday were a qualifying meet with the Top Four places in each event now advancing to the Centex District Championships next week.
The Lady Mustangs finished in 3rd Place in the team standings with a total of 63 points while Lake Belton took first place with 129.
The Lady Mustangs were led by Jazmine Locklear who earned gold in the 200 meters and bronze in the 100 meters. Travis also got a strong performance from the 4x100 relay that earned silver.
