The Travis 8th grade boys track & field team participated in the Belton Divisional Meet held at Belton High School on Thursday.
With the anticipation of inclement weather, the field events and 2400 meter run were cancelled and were postponed to be completed at the district meet to be held at Midway High School on April 1st.
However, the races on Thursday were a qualifying meet with the Top Four places in each event now advancing to the Centex District Championships next week.
The Mustangs finished in 5th Place in the team standings with a total of 26 points while SC Lee took second place with 106.
The Mustangs were led by Leon Tolbert who earned gold medals in the 100 meters and silver in the 200 and 400 meters.
