TEMPLE, TX — Electric energy echoed through Mustang Gym on Thursday night as the Travis Science Academy 7th Grade B volleyball team hosted the Lamar Lady Bearcats for their highly anticipated home opener. Driven by dominant serving and clutch play, the Lady Mustangs delivered a commanding performance, sweeping Lamar in straight sets (25-15, 25-14).

With the decisive victory, Travis improves to 1-1 on the season.

From the first whistle, the Lady Mustangs set the tone at the service line, refusing to let the Lady Bearcats set up their offense. Adiysnn Oakman anchored the night with an exceptional serving performance, racking up a team-high 11 serves made to keep Lamar constantly on the defensive.
