TEMPLE, TX — It was a crosstown showdown on Monday evening at the Travis Science Academy Football Field, where the Travis 7th grade football team put on an offensive show to claim a 32-20 victory over their rivals, the Lamar Middle School Bearcats.
From the opening kickoff, the Mustangs set the tempo in front of an energetic home crowd, driven by a lights-out performance on the offensive side of the ball.
Caleb Hill was virtually unstoppable, putting on a clinic and finding the end zone four times to power the Travis offense. Adding to the offensive fireworks, Christopher Rodriquez delivered a crucial touchdown to keep the Bearcats at bay throughout the contest.

While the offense lit up the scoreboard, the Mustang defense stepped up when it mattered most to secure the rivalry win. Erasmo Enriquez and Jasper Cowan led the charge on defense, delivering standout performances, disrupting Lamar's execution, and making key stops to stall the Bearcats' momentum.

With the rival victory, Travis moves to 1-1 on the season and looks to build on the momentum as they head out on the road.
