TEMPLE, Texas — Tuesday Evening
In a heated crosstown rivalry matchup Tuesday evening at Brad Dusek Field, the Travis Science Academy 8th grade football team made a powerful statement, rolling past the Lamar Middle School Bearcats with a decisive 32-14 victory on Lamar's home turf.

From the opening kickoff, the Mustangs asserted their dominance on both sides of the ball. The Travis offense put on a clinic, fueled by dynamic plays and explosive execution. Highlighted by a sensational touchdown performance from Jaliel Gates, the Mustangs kept the Bearcat defense on its heels all night. Complementing the ground attack, receiver Elijah Hogue delivered a stellar performance, hauling in several acrobatic, high-impact catches to sustain drives and put Travis deep into Lamar territory.

While the offense lit up the scoreboard, the Mustang defense delivered the physical intensity required for a rivalry clash. Defensive standouts Leroy Stewart and Sabastian Daniels set the tone up front, disrupting the Bearcats' offensive rhythm, blowing up plays in the backfield, and anchoring a unit that refused to let Lamar gain any momentum.
