BELTON — The Travis Science Academy Lady Mustang 8th Grade B volleyball team traveled to face Belton Middle School on Thursday evening, coming up short in a competitive two-set battle on the road. Belton took the match in straight sets, defeating Travis 25-12, 25-18.

With the loss, the Lady Mustangs fall to 3-2 on the season as they look to regroup following a hard-fought contest away from home.

Standout Performances

Despite the setback, Travis saw solid individual performances across the court:
Ashlynn Day: Led the backline defense with 8 passes made, adding 1 serve made and 1 ace.
Lawrenn Granville: Contributed strong ball control with 7 passes made and 3 serves made.
Dania Dampeer: Sparked the serve game with 6 serves made and 1 ace.

Looking Ahead

The Lady Mustangs will aim to bounce back on home turf when they return to action on Thursday, October 1. Travis will host Midway Middle School at Mustang Gym, with first serve scheduled for 6:00 PM.
