TEMPLE, Texas — In a hard-fought battle on Monday evening, the Travis Science Academy 7th-grade football team dropped a 26-13 decision to North Belton Middle School on home turf at the Travis Science Academy Football Field.

With the victory, North Belton delivered a setback to the Mustangs, bringing Travis's season record to 1-3.

Despite the loss, several Travis players turned in standout performances on both sides of the ball:

Caleb Hill sparked the Mustangs' offense, scoring both of Travis's touchdowns on the night.
Thaddeus Tamez anchored the defensive unit, putting together a relentless effort and leading the team in total tackles.

The Travis Science Academy Mustangs will look to bounce back next week as they continue their home stand. Travis is scheduled to return to action on Monday, October 5, when they host Midway Middle School at the Travis Science Academy Football Field. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
