COPPERAS COVE - The Travis Science Academy 7th Grade football team opened the 2024 season on Monday with a 27-0 victory over Copperas Cove.

The Mustangs spread out the scoring as Chris Weaver, Brock Maddox, D'Ivyus Trejo and Jeffery Hodges all scored touchdowns.

Jeremiah Kprazeou had 2 extra points and Hayden Whitaker also had an extra point.

Chris Weaver was also the leading tackler for the Mustangs with a team high 9 tackles.

The kickoff team also had an excellent night for the Mustangs.

Travis 1-0 will return to action on September 16 when they will host North Belton at Woodson Field beginning at 5:15.
