BELTON - The Lady Mustang 8th Grade A volleyball team won the Belton ISD Consolation championship on Saturday at Belton High School.

After dropping their first game to North Belton 25-16, 25-11, the Lady Mustangs rebounded with a victory over Belton Middle School 22-25, 25-14, 15-12 and then defeated Lamar, 25-19, 25-19 in the trophy game.

A few standout players for Travis in the Consolation game was Taryn Partida with 2 Aces and 2 digs; Kaylynn Johnson 4 Aces and 2 kills; Kyleigh Juarez-1 kill, Tayah Castillo- 2 Aces, Anna Brown- 1 kill and
Catherine Dunkin with 1 ace.

Travis improves to 4-2 on the season and will host Lake Belton on September 26th at 8:00 pm.
