LITTLE RIVER - The Travis Science Academy 7th Grade A team opened the 2024-25 season on Saturday with three games in the Academy Tournament. The Lady Mustangs went 3-0 and took 1st Place overall in the tournament.
In their opening game, the Lady Mustangs defeated Academy by a score of 41-15. Leading scorers for Travis included Kameryn Tate with 25 points, Alalade Akiode - 8 points, Shamaya Banks - 6 points and
Greenlee Hine with 2 points.
Game 2 saw the Lady Mustangs take down Jarrell 24-12. Leading the was for the Lady Mustangs were Kameryn Tate -with 17 points, Alalade Akiode - 5 points and Lucylle Lucas with 2 points.
In their final game, Travis defeated crosstown rival Bonham by a score of 30-4. Travis was led by Kameryn Tate with 17 points, Alalade Akiode - 7 points, Shamaya Banks, Eden Felix - 2 points and with 1 point each were Greenlee Hine and Ja'Miyah Stonum.
Travis 3-0 will return to action on November 21st when they will travel to Hewitt to take on Midway Middle School beginning at 5:30 pm.
